A gorgeous, fascinating and informative trip. Fiona did an excellent job of researching textile and cultural activities that gave us an intimate picture of life in Romania. Highly recommend!

I have been on 5 tours in 4 continents with Creative Arts Safaris and they have all been fantastic. Fiona is a fabulous leader. She is well researched, organised and travels safely The tours embrace the history, cuisine, culture and arts, crafts and textiles of the countrie.  Fiona is compassionate and generous to her travellers and culturally sensitive to the people and places she visits. I highly recommend Creative Arts Safaris.

The recent trip to Uzbekistan with Creative Arts Safari was really a trip to remember. It was organized very well and an adventure of a lifetime. This turned out to be a surprise tour of an interesting county with diverse backgrounds and a cultural experience of being involved in the process of learning local crafts while getting to know the local, friendly people.

I am still re-living the wonderful memories made in Gujarat with Fiona, Praveen, and my fellow travellers. Our trip was inspiring and enriching on so many levels - never have I seen so many smiles!

Fiona’s carefully curated itinerary meant we experienced the real ‘flow’ of India, meeting the very best artisans in the world of textiles, traditional art, and craft. We were welcomed into studios and workshops to see weaving, printing, embroidery, and batik, as well as techniques I’d never heard of. It was magical to have a go too, sitting alongside tribal women communicating through the joy of stitch. Other highlights included the food with the opportunity to cook as well as eat; staying in heritage hotels full of antiques with beautiful gardens; and poking around old buildings, museums, and markets. I will also have lasting memories of the people, those I shared the trip with, and the local people we met – so much warmth, generosity, and laughter.

This is a trip that stays with you long after you return home!

thank you for hosting such a special trip. Until the next time!
