We will start with inspiration today - first an introduction to our travels and creative ideas with Pauline Franklyn and then we will cruise the fascinating Ethnological Museum to whet your appetite for our travels.

Lunch together to fortify us before we hit the fabic markets.

Dinner in Hanoi and onto the Sleeper Train heading towards Sapa. The train has very comfortable berths and will take us up towards the mountains.

Our hotel rooms will be waiting for us, to shower and have breakfast before we head out to meet Mrs Chi.

We are going to her home to take a workshop in batik and indigo, 

she will then cook us a delicious lunch.

Back to Sapa to wander and explore in the afternoon, evening free.

We're off to visit the vibrant Textile Second-Hand Market, where local women will put your bargaining skills to the test! These ladies know how to have fun, but be prepared—bargaining is the name of the game here.

Next, we journey across the mountains to Ta Phin, where we'll take time in a cozy café for a creative morning session before enjoying a delicious lunch. Afterwards, stroll through the charming Red Dzao village and soak in the culture before heading to our hotel for a relaxing evening.

We'll start the day early with a scenic journey across misty mountains to a bustling village market, bursting with color and life. 

The vibrant Flower H'mong community gathers here to sell their wares—it's a feast for the senses and a true cultural experience.

Afterward, we head back to Hanoi for a visit to the enchanting Water Puppets of Vietnam, a delightful tradition dating back centuries. This whimsical performance is sure to awaken your inner child and leave you smiling.

We are haeding out to Cat Ba Island for a bit of pampering and creative time.

Our resort is surrounded by forest, has a pool and lovely views. Time to use all the treasures you have found along with inspiraion from Pauline, we'll make some treasures to take home and show off.

After a slow start this morning we will drive across to the Marina at Ha Long Bay to board our boat for the night.

A beautifully decked out boat to call home to cruise the bay, visit the limestone caves and take a boat ride or kayak into a stunning Grotto.

Sleep to the gentle rock of the boat and lap of the waters.

After lunch we will return to Hanoi, and

have a free afternoon for last minute sightseeing and shopping.

Let's share a celebratory Farewell Dinner togther.
