Finding somewhere to stay takes a lot of walking and a lot of head scratching.

I want somewhere comfortable, reliable, and in a good location for our guests to explore when they have free time.

I hate the thought of being stuck in some fancy place that has nothing happening out on the street nearby, we came to see local after all- we need good places to wander and poke around 😊

Having said that when we can find somewhere a bit fancy, family owned, heritage or simply interesting we do love it.

Old Palaces and Forts in India, Ksars [fort] or desert oasis in Morocco, nestled into nature or a houseboat in Vietnam we do pretty well with variety and magical and sometimes the only options way, way away from the tourist trail and simple but the care you are welcomed with make them feel like to palace.

  1. A room with a view in Morocco
  2. Entering our Jungle Camp in the Sundarbans, Bengal before boating and tiger safaris
  3. Mud huts in northern Ghana
  4. Swimming pool Gujarat
  5. Soaking up the view, Vietnam
  6. Auberge way, way along a Gorge in the Atlas Mountains, Morocco
  7. Traffic at the gatehouse to our Palace in Jaipur, Rajasthan
  8. A boat to call home, Vietnam
  9. 15 Century fort to be treated royally, Gujarat
  10. A palace to call home, Bengal
