Sunday- Fun day.

Sunday is my Fun Day. Creative stuff, no office work.
My office is in my house….. I have busy weeks in the office and need to make sure I close the door sometimes.
Healthy….
I’ve gardened this morning until the summer bush flies drove me inside.
Onto a bit of stitching… the Vietnamese inspired jacket is evolving, I thought it would be nice to follow the outline of the lining flowers, a bouquet is coming.

This got me thinking of travel journals, and maybe an exhibition….
Old exhibitions were about place.
“Eathskins”
“Soulscapes” were various themes.

Hmmm, poked around and found old ideas

“Take the line for a walk…” is stitched into one piece.

When we travel, what an interesting line we trace across the earth, you mark it with hearts and woes and exclamation points….

Happy meandering 😀
Through your thoughts
Or following your feet….

I like the idea of the jacket as a “Travel-skin” and being a place to show your treasures is what I was going to say.
But like the idea more of being cloaked in your memories or using it as a repository of your experiences….

Hmm ideas I want to develop in Vietnam soon, making in place will add to the experience of travel.
I wonder what Mrs Thuan will think, when I asked if I could bring a group to hang out and use her workshop to make stuff, she said “most welcome”

I think it will be most stimulating for all involved from many different angles.

Fun times ahead.
March in Vietnam learning your Travel to Quilt process, making stuff. Very exciting.
