Day 29 What’s Next

The Great Pause knocked the wind out of me…. So difficult

@the_stitching_project we looked after our people, we helped locals, it gave a purpose to weather the storm in rural India. We have continued on from there, thanks in a great part to our loyal customers.

Creative Arts Safaris was a completely different storm for us, not a lot we could do for our far flung connections around the world. Hard to hear how difficult life was locked down and no visitors or work.

Made me nervous at first about starting up again but the nudge of fellow travellers who want to join me again got me going. Starting to dream of wandering again, so the last 6 months has been full steam ahead, sorting out the website, contacting all the people we know and want to visit and getting a move on with planning. I waited until 2023 to start staging tours, give everyone enough time to settle into the new normal and the World the opportunity to sort out its kinks.

2023 will be a good year to wander with wonder in our hearts.

Last week was rather cathartic for me…. Sometimes you have things wandering around in the back of your mind…

@jobeal4 has been looking at shadows

@annasartfoodculture took us for a wander around Cabramatta and talked of using her drawing journal for self-reflection as well- a very inspiring day on so many levels- thank you A

And I slipped away for the weekend. First time I have wondered off and stayed in a hotel for years since….Life is so different when you get away from the everyday!

My home is also My Office, My Studio and My Shop…. I Could and I Should live with me and they are very hard task masters. They don’t follow when you step out of the Everyday to somewhere a little Magical!!!

Why do I wander? The penny dropped and it was so lovely.

Made me feel refreshed- the room mates are still at home with their stick. Whilst that is a good thing- a small business means no boss- you have to drive it, it is lovely to recognize what refreshes me.
