Rajasthan- Textile & Craft Tour…. we love to get our hands dirty on tour, taking workshops and learning “how to.”

This is the tour our company started with; an adventure through the dramatic desert state of Rajasthan.

As always our tour has the opportunity for lots of hands-on activities. There will be a goldwork embroidery workshop, Bandhani [tie and dye], indigo dyeing, ideas for a travel journal, a day in our own workshop, stitching with the women of Dastkar Ranthambore, block printing your own scarf.

Design your own wooden printing block.

Instructions will be emailed and we will have it ready and waiting for you at The Stitching Project workshop.

There is a lot to explore. Sunset camel [or camel cart] safari before dinner and gypsy dancing, mighty forts and palaces, serene temples, bustling marketplaces and so much more all await you.

As they say- “In India, madam/sir anything is possible!”

Ohh and we are going looking for tigers, tigers, tigers! at Ranthambore, who has one of the country’s best success stories with breeding up numbers.

We offer fully escorted small group tours and travelling workshops with respected tutors.

On tour we like to get our hands dirty taking workshops, exploring locations and culture. We include lots of local experiences as well as visiting iconic sites.

Crafts, travel sketching and textiles are our passion.

Our friendly groups are inclusive. They are companionable and well organized allowing a relaxed adventure, great for solo travellers.

They include pickup & drop to airport, accommodation, group travel, sightseeing, workshops, and most meals. Almost everything is included EXCEPT the shopping – that is your job. Help the local economy.
